This is a list of stories about matriarchial societies - including novels, original fiction and fanfiction.
The matriarchies do not have to be the main focus of the stories, but they must have more than just a mention. To qualify, a society has to have female leaders because they're female.
Let me make it clear that this is NOT a list of my recommendations, I may not have even read all of the fics linked to here, although I do check that they fit the requirements.
